Kirioruwa Ambalama

Kirioruwa Ambalama is a small ancient wayside rest made of brick and mortar hidden away, off Bandarawela and Attempitiya road. This Ambalama was renovated in 2013. The site was designated as an Archaeological Protected Monument by Government Gazette notification. No: 1586 published on 23 January 2009
To reach the Ambalama, take the Attempitiya road from Bandarawela for 5 km, then take a right turn on to a small estate road up the hill it's signposted. The road leads to the Aislaby Estate Office. The Ambalama is located 1 km up this road.
